After being dropped at the start of the season to eight points behind Barcelona in La Liga standings 2012/13, Madrid and found a positive trend by recording three wins in three matches in all competitions. The success beat Manchester City 3-2 in the Champions League and Rayo Vallecano 2-0 in the league, followed by a 5-1 victory over Deportivo La Coruna at the same stage at the Jornada 6.
Jornada next Monday (08/10), Madrid will visit the Camp Nou to face his eternal rival, Barcelona. According to Ronaldo, who carved a hat-trick against Deportivo, Madrid now have a strong capital to serve Barca.
"This (Deportivo) is an important victory. Against Barcelona would not be easy, but we should not lose points again," said Ronaldo told reporters after destroying Deportivo at the Santiago Bernabeu on Monday (01/10).
"We've played great, but we must stay focused and believe that we can win there (Camp Nou). We will win," he said.
Before coming to Barcelona, Madrid awaited first Ajax at Amsterdam Arena, Thursday (04/10), in a game titled Champions League matchday 2. (foes / gia)
