Image via Wikipedia Goalkeeper Petr Cech has been named as Chelsea's best playerby a poll involving 28 thousand supporters of the Blues. This is thefirst title for Cech who had joined the Blues since 2004.
"I joined here (Chelsea) for seven years and played with some ofthe best players in the world, not easy for a goalkeeper to win the award. But I am very pleased," Cech said as quoted by The WorldGame, Friday, May 20, 2011.
In addition to Cech, the coronation ceremony was also chosenbest player Ashley Cole as the player version. Next, Ramires goalsin a game against Manchester City was asked as the best goal.Meanwhile, midfielder won best young players aged 18 years,Josh McEachran.
However, both Cech and Cole still deplore their achievements thisseason that failed to win the Premier League and ChampionsLeague.
"As a team we never give up, we always have the confidence.Hopefully next season everything will change and we can win thetitle again," said Cole. (umi)
